Looping Videos

KappaX allows you to loop a specific section of a video or skip to a particular part without the need to edit the video. This can be achieved by writing simple English sentences in the logic. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to loop videos in KappaX.

Understanding Looping

Looping is a technique where you play a specific section of a video repeatedly without any interruption. It is a useful method for emphasizing a particular part of a video. For this, select the video you want to loop from the layer panel. For this tutorial, we are going to loop a donut video from 0 to 7 seconds.

Creating a Loop

  1. To create a loop, we need to set up a logic that goes into the 'Time' event of that video layer.

  2. Add a new logic block, and in the rules section, check  'Is number equal to' (since time is a number). Then select the ‘Current Time’ option and check if it is equal to 7 seconds.

  3. In the action section, seek the video to 0 seconds and Play the video.
    Looping3
  4. After setting up the loop, preview and see if it has been created. And you’ll see that the loop has been created.

Breaking the Loop

To break the loop, on click of any layer, seek the video to a few milliseconds more than the end time of the loop. In our case, the end time of the loop is 7 seconds. So, to break the loop, seek the video to 7.1 seconds and play it.

And that's it! You now know how to loop a video in KappaX and how to break the loop. This technique can be used to create engaging videos that captivate your audience.
